Connecting Researchers and Students Through AAM Innovation

We’re excited to share that LYNEports CEO Rasha Alshami was invited to deliver a guest lecture at the University of North Texas’ Center for Integrated Intelligent Mobility Systems (CIIMS) ,  one of FAA’s designated centers for innovation in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

The session welcomed 86 participants, including researchers, students, engineers, and developers, for an engaging discussion on the future of integrated mobility systems. During her lecture, Rasha highlighted the increasing need for geospatial planning tools in AAM and how LYNEports is addressing this demand with intuitive, data-driven software solutions.

LYNEports lecture emphasized the value of cross-disciplinary collaboration in designing tomorrow’s mobility networks. With representation from aviation, logistics, emergency management, and urban planning, the session served as a platform for new ideas, research dialogue, and practical exploration of policy-technology intersections.

About the Center for Integrated Intelligent Mobility Systems (CIIMS)

The Center for Integrated Intelligent Mobility Systems (CIIMS) at the University of North Texas is a leading interdisciplinary research hub focused on advancing intelligent, connected, and autonomous mobility solutions. Established in 2020, CIIMS brings together experts from engineering, business, and information science to develop cutting-edge technologies for autonomous vehicles and unmanned aerial systems. Its Advanced Air Mobility test facility, one of the largest in the U.S., supports rapid UAV testing. Key projects include disaster response systems using drone-based communication and Project Hermes, a real-time drone data hub. CIIMS also prioritizes student engagement and workforce development to shape the future of transportation. We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Andrey Voevodin (Associate Dean in the College of Engineering), Mr.Warren Scott, and Ms.Lauren Pratt for their invitation.

A special thank you to Dr. Clinton Purtell for the kind introduction and for connecting us with such innovative, forward-thinking teams.

About the University of North Texas

The University of North Texas (UNT), located in Denton within the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, Since its founding in 1890, the University of North Texas (UNT) has steadily evolved into a leader in innovation, with a growing focus on advanced air mobility (AAM) and emerging transportation technologies. Building on its strong research foundation and interdisciplinary programs, UNT actively supports initiatives in urban air mobility, sustainability, and smart city infrastructure.
