LYNEports appointed to the European Commission Expert Group

LYNEports has been appointed as a member of the European Commission's Expert Group on Drones and Innovative Air Mobility, established by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).

The group brings together representatives from across Europe's drone and innovative air mobility ecosystem, including industry, research organisations, public authorities, infrastructure stakeholders, and aviation experts. Its role is to provide technical expertise and practical market insight to support the European Commission's work on the continued implementation of the European Drone Strategy 2.0 and the future development of the sector.

The appointment reflects LYNEports' ongoing work in aviation infrastructure planning, deployment strategy, and the integration of Advanced Air Mobility into real-world operating environments.

Supporting the next phase of European deployment

As the European drone ecosystem continues to mature, attention is increasingly shifting from research and demonstration towards commercial deployment, operational integration, and long-term infrastructure readiness.

Throughout the group's discussions, topics include regulatory implementation, industrial competitiveness, infrastructure planning, airspace integration, market development, financing, and the practical challenges associated with scaling drone and Innovative Air Mobility operations across Member States.

Drawing on experience supporting governments, airports, infrastructure owners, developers, and aviation stakeholders internationally, LYNEports will contribute perspectives on infrastructure readiness, deployment planning, and the practical conditions required to translate regulatory progress into operational implementation.

Bridging infrastructure and implementation

Europe has established one of the world's most advanced regulatory foundations for drones and Innovative Air Mobility. As the sector progresses, infrastructure planning, local implementation, and consistent deployment pathways will play an increasingly important role in supporting commercial adoption.

LYNEports' participation reflects its continued focus on the intersection between aviation regulation, infrastructure planning, urban integration, and deployment strategy, helping stakeholders move from concept development toward commercially viable implementation.

Continuing engagement

Participation in the Expert Group forms part of LYNEports' broader engagement with public authorities, regulators, infrastructure developers, and industry partners working to shape the future of aviation infrastructure.

The company looks forward to contributing practical deployment experience and infrastructure planning expertise to support the continued evolution of Europe's drone and Innovative Air Mobility ecosystem.
