Muscat, Oman –  10 March 2026 – As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation, industry collaboration, and future-ready education, the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LYNEports, an advanced air mobility intelligence and advisory company, to advance a strategic partnership focused on advancing education, research, and innovation in emerging aviation technologies.

The partnership creates a collaborative framework between MCBS and LYNEports to explore joint academic and industry initiatives that enhance student learning, strengthen applied research, and contribute to the development of future mobility ecosystems. The agreement reflects a shared vision to support knowledge exchange and align with national priorities in innovation, infrastructure development, and next-generation aviation systems in line with Oman Vision 2040.

Through this collaboration, both parties will explore opportunities to support initiatives such as the Future Flight Academy, Smart Skies for Smart Students, and related academic and enrichment activities, including hackathons, workshops, and applied learning programs. These initiatives aim to provide students with practical exposure to emerging aviation technologies while fostering innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.

The MoU also enables the exploration of joint research grants, pilot projects, and applied studies at both regional and international levels. By combining MCBS’s academic expertise with LYNEports’ technical and analytical capabilities, the collaboration is expected to contribute to the co-development of case studies, regulatory analyses, and research outputs that support the advancement of the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector.

In addition, the partnership opens avenues for engagement with government entities, municipalities, and industry stakeholders through participation in proposals, consultations, and tenders aligned with national development strategies. This reinforces the role of academia–industry collaboration in supporting policy development and infrastructure planning in emerging mobility systems.

Rasha Alshami, CEO of LYNEports, stated: “Advanced air mobility will require deep collaboration between academia, industry, and government. Through this partnership with MCBS, we aim to support the development of talent, research, and practical solutions that accelerate safe and scalable deployment of next generation aviation systems.”

“This partnership reflects MCBS’s continued commitment to aligning academic excellence with industry innovation,” said Dr. Moosa Al Kindi, Dean of MCBS. “By engaging with leading industry partners such as LYNEports, we are creating meaningful opportunities for our students and researchers to contribute to the future of aviation and smart mobility.”

Building on this vision, Dr. Amjed Sid Ahmed, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship – InnovationX at MCBS, added: “This collaboration marks an important step in developing applied innovation within emerging sectors. By connecting students with real-world challenges and industry expertise, we are empowering them to translate ideas into impactful solutions and engage meaningfully in the evolving landscape of advanced air mobility.”

This collaboration positions MCBS as a forward-looking higher education institution actively engaged in emerging aviation technologies, providing students and researchers with access to real-world tools, industry expertise, and applied learning experiences. It also forms part of MCBS’s broader initiatives marking 30 years of educational leadership, reinforcing its commitment to expanding its footprint in emerging industries and future mobility.

Through such strategic partnerships, MCBS continues to bridge academia and industry, delivering research-driven, industry-aligned education that contributes to innovation, talent development, and the advancement of knowledge in areas critical to national and global progress.
