Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy is issued by LYNE TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L., with its registered address at Strada Dealul Spirei 13, 200352 Craiova, Romania, which operates the LYNEports platform and is the data controller for the Personal Data described in this Policy unless expressly stated otherwise. “LYNEports,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean LYNE TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L. and, where relevant to the processing described in this Policy, the applicable affiliated LYNEports entity. It describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit lyneports.com, create an account, use the LYNEports platform, purchase a subscription, credits, or training program, or otherwise interact with our services (together, the “Service”).

Effective Date: September 10, 2026. This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, which govern your use of the Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms & Conditions. Where the Terms describe rights we have in data (including the license you grant us in Customer Content), this Policy explains how information is handled in practice; the two documents are intended to be consistent, and neither expands the other.

2. Definitions

The following categories align with the Terms & Conditions:

  • Personal Data: information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable individual, such as name, email address, company, role, billing details, IP address, and account identifiers.
  • Customer Content: data, files, documents, project inputs, site locations, parameters, configurations, and other materials that you upload to or create within the Service.
  • Usage and Telemetry Data: information generated by your interaction with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, actions taken, session information, device and browser characteristics, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Derived Data: data that LYNEports generates by processing Customer Content or Usage and Telemetry Data, such as computed metrics, scores, classifications, and system logs.
  • Aggregated and De-identified Data: data that has been aggregated or processed so that it no longer identifies you or any individual and cannot reasonably be re-identified.
  • Feedback: suggestions, corrections, ideas, or other input you provide about the Service.
  • Outputs: results, analyses, scores, reports, visualizations, and other materials generated by the Service.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: you provide it, it is generated by your use of the Service, or we receive it from service providers acting on our behalf.

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, password credentials (handled by our authentication provider; we do not see your password in plain text), company, role, and preferences.
  • Customer Content: the project data, documents, and configurations you upload to or create in the Service, which may incidentally include Personal Data you choose to include.
  • Transaction information: subscription plan, purchases, invoices, and billing history. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor; we receive confirmation of payment and limited billing metadata, never full card numbers.
  • Communications: messages you send us through contact and inquiry forms, support requests, reviews you submit, and training enrollment details.
  • Usage and Telemetry Data: collected automatically as described in Section 8 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies).
  • Training records: enrollment status, module progress, quiz attempts and results, and certificates issued, for participants in our training programs.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service, including authentication, project storage, and generating Outputs you request;
  • process payments, manage subscriptions and credits, and maintain transaction records;
  • deliver training programs, track progress, and issue certificates;
  • respond to inquiries, provide support, and send transactional and service communications (such as enrollment confirmations, billing notices, and security notices);
  • analyze, develop, and improve the Service as described in Sections 5, 6, and 8;
  • detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms & Conditions;
  • comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5. Customer Content, Ownership, and Processing

You retain ownership of your original Customer Content. As described in the Terms & Conditions, you grant LYNEports a license to process Customer Content, and LYNEports may process and use Customer Content, Usage and Telemetry Data, Derived Data, and Aggregated and De-identified Data for operating, securing, analyzing, developing, and improving the Service, in each case in accordance with the Terms & Conditions and this Privacy Policy.

Derived Data, Usage and Telemetry Data, and Aggregated and De-identified Data are owned by LYNEports as set out in the Terms & Conditions.

6. AI, Machine Learning, and Service Improvement

The Service includes analytical and AI-assisted features. To the extent permitted by applicable law, LYNEports may use Customer Content, prompts, interactions, corrections, configurations, usage patterns, Feedback, analytical activity, Usage and Telemetry Data, Derived Data, and Aggregated and De-identified Data for the development, testing, evaluation, validation, training, fine-tuning, and improvement of LYNEports’ AI, machine-learning, and analytical systems and the Service generally.

Where such data includes Personal Data, that Personal Data remains subject to applicable data-protection law and to this Privacy Policy, and we apply the legal bases described in Section 7. Where LYNEports processes Personal Data as a processor (or service provider) solely on the documented instructions of an Enterprise customer acting as controller, that processing is governed by the applicable data processing agreement, and LYNEports does not independently repurpose that Personal Data for the uses described in this Section except where legally permitted. This does not limit LYNEports’ rights in Aggregated and De-identified Data, Derived Data, Usage and Telemetry Data, and generalized learnings and model improvements that do not include Personal Data processed on customer instructions. Where an Enterprise Agreement, data processing agreement, or other executed agreement further restricts these uses, that agreement controls as described in Section 16.

Some AI features are delivered using third-party AI service providers described in Section 9. These providers process the relevant data to provide the feature, acting as processors on our instructions or under their applicable privacy terms, as described in Section 9.

7. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, we process Personal Data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the Service, process transactions, deliver training, and provide support under our agreement with you.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, analyze usage, develop features and analytical systems, prevent fraud and abuse, and communicate about the Service, where appropriate and following the assessment required by applicable law.
  • Consent: where required by law, such as for non-essential cookies and analytics described in Section 8; you may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligations: to comply with accounting, tax, and other legal requirements.
  • Legal claims: to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Acceptance of this Privacy Policy does not itself constitute consent to every processing purpose; where consent is the applicable legal basis, we request it separately.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, browser local storage, and session storage to operate the Service (such as keeping you signed in and remembering preferences) and, with your consent where required, to understand how the Service is used.

The tracking technologies we currently use are:

  • Essential cookies and local storage: required for authentication, security, and core functionality of the Service.
  • Analytics Technologies: technologies that collect information about how the Service is used, such as pages viewed, features used, conversion events, interaction patterns (such as scrolling and clicks), device and browser characteristics, and approximate location derived from IP address. We use this information to understand usage, improve usability, and develop the Service. Signed-in users are identified in analytics only by an internal profile identifier, not by email address. When you are signed in, this usage information is associated with your account so that our staff can understand how customers use the Service and support them. It is used internally only and is never shared with advertisers.

Analytics Technologies are consent-gated where required by law: on our public website, they do not load until you accept analytics cookies through our cookie banner. You can manage non-essential analytics through the cookie consent banner and your browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing services, or cross-site advertising trackers.

9. Service Providers and Other Disclosures

We may disclose Personal Data and other information to trusted service providers and technology partners where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, develop, and improve the Service. Depending on the service and applicable law, these providers may process information on our instructions or under their own applicable privacy terms.

These providers may include:

  • cloud hosting, database, authentication, storage, and infrastructure providers;
  • payment and billing providers;
  • email and communications providers;
  • artificial-intelligence, machine-learning, document-processing, search, and computational service providers;
  • analytics and product-improvement providers;
  • mapping, geospatial, imagery, and 3D visualization providers;
  • aviation, airspace, flight, regulatory, weather, infrastructure, and other data providers;
  • scheduling, customer-support, security, and other operational service providers.

We disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant service or purpose, subject to applicable law and contractual protections where required.

Corporate affiliates. LYNEports may share information with affiliated entities involved in operating, supporting, administering, billing for, or providing the Service, subject to applicable data-protection law and appropriate safeguards. Where an affiliated entity acts as the contracting, invoicing, payment-receiving, or service-providing entity for a particular transaction or Service, this will be identified in the applicable checkout, invoice, Order Form, or other transaction documentation. Affiliated entities may process account, transaction, billing, support, and other information reasonably necessary for those purposes.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or users, to enforce our Terms & Conditions, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.

We do not sell Personal Data or share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable law.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

10. International Data Transfers

LYNEports is based in Romania, in the European Union. Information may be processed in the European Union, in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Data-protection laws in these jurisdictions may differ from those in your country. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or safeguard for international transfers of Personal Data (such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision), we will rely on the legally required mechanism or safeguard.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, which depends on the type of information and context. Factors include: the duration of your account and our contractual relationship; legal and regulatory obligations (such as tax and accounting record-keeping); security, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention; the operation of backup and disaster-recovery systems, from which data is deleted on a scheduled cycle; transaction and billing records; and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify Personal Data that we no longer need, subject to the factors above. Aggregated and De-identified Data, Derived Data, and other information that may lawfully be retained (including as described in the Terms & Conditions) may be retained after account deletion.

12. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including encryption in transit, access controls, and separation of production credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your Personal Data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where required by applicable law.

13. Your Privacy Rights

LYNE TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L. is the controller of your Personal Data, and the rights in this section are the primary rights under this Policy. Where the GDPR, the UK GDPR or similar laws apply to our processing of your Personal Data, you have the right to: request access to your Personal Data; request correction of inaccurate Personal Data; request deletion of your Personal Data; request restriction of processing; object to processing based on legitimate interests; receive your Personal Data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent (without affecting processing before withdrawal); and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority applicable to you. Our lead supervisory authority is the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).

These rights are subject to applicable legal exceptions and limitations. To exercise them, contact us at contact@lyneports.com; we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You can also access and update account information directly in your account settings.

14. Additional Rights for California Residents

The rights in Section 13 apply to everyone whose Personal Data we process, where those laws apply. In addition, to the extent the CCPA/CPRA applies to LYNEports, California residents may have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act: to know and access the Personal Information we collect about you, including the categories of sources, purposes, and third parties to whom it is disclosed; to request deletion of your Personal Information; to request correction of inaccurate Personal Information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information, where applicable; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, where applicable; and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

We do not sell Personal Information and do not share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit under the CPRA. To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@lyneports.com; we will verify your request as required by law, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted.

15. Children’s Privacy

The Service is a professional tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18 years of age (or the applicable age of majority). If you believe a child has provided us Personal Data, contact us at contact@lyneports.com and we will delete it.

16. Enterprise Agreements and Custom Terms

Where LYNEports and a customer have executed an Enterprise Agreement, data processing agreement, non-disclosure agreement, or other written agreement, that agreement may impose stricter data-use, retention, hosting, security, or AI-training restrictions and controls than those described in this Privacy Policy or the Terms & Conditions. Where expressly agreed, those stricter terms control for that customer’s data, consistent with the order of precedence in the Terms & Conditions.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Policy; where a change requires consent under applicable law, we will request it.

18. Disputes and Contact

Contractual disputes relating to the Service, including this Privacy Policy as it forms part of our agreement with you, are governed by the governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions of the Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this Policy or the Terms limits any mandatory privacy rights you have under applicable data-protection law, including your right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority or the California Attorney General or California Privacy Protection Agency.
