LYNEports and the University of South Florida (USF) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on advancing research, innovation, and education in advanced air mobility.
This collaboration brings together LYNEports’ AI driven digital planning platform and industry expertise with USF’s academic leadership and research capabilities in transportation and emerging mobility systems. The partnership establishes a framework to jointly explore research, pilot initiatives, and funding opportunities that support the safe and scalable integration of advanced air mobility.
Through this agreement, both organizations aim to support the development of practical solutions that connect research, planning, and real world implementation. The collaboration will focus on areas such as network design, regulatory alignment, infrastructure readiness, and operational strategy for emerging aerial mobility systems.
LYNEports contributes its digital infrastructure intelligence platform, which translates complex aviation regulations and operational constraints into spatial and data driven decision tools for cities, developers, and industry stakeholders. The platform supports early stage planning, scenario modeling, and evaluation of advanced air mobility infrastructure in alignment with regulatory and urban development frameworks.
USF brings faculty leadership, research capacity, and a strong foundation in transportation innovation. The collaboration will enable joint case studies, academic publications, and engagement with public agencies and industry partners. It will also create opportunities for student learning through workshops, applied research, and exposure to real world tools and projects.
The partnership is intended to support joint proposals and grant applications, strengthen engagement with cities and stakeholders, and advance knowledge in areas critical to the future of mobility. Both organizations share a commitment to bridging academic research and industry application to accelerate responsible and sustainable deployment of advanced air mobility.
The collaboration also creates opportunities to integrate simulation, modeling, and planning approaches to better understand operational strategies and infrastructure requirements. By aligning academic insight with industry driven technology, LYNEports and USF aim to support decision makers as they prepare for next generation aviation systems.
Leaders from both organizations welcomed the agreement as an important step toward building long term collaboration between academia and industry in advanced air mobility.
Rasha Alshami, CEO of LYNEports, stated that “this collaboration strengthens our ability to connect academic research with practical infrastructure planning and supports the development of knowledge, talent, and real world applications in advanced air mobility.”
Dr. Yu Zhang, Director of Advanced Air Mobility Research at the Center for Urban Transportation Research at USF, emphasized that “the partnership creates new opportunities to combine academic rigor with industry innovation, enabling impactful research, pilots, and education that benefit students, cities, and the broader mobility ecosystem.”
The agreement reflects a shared vision to advance innovation, workforce development, and sustainable transportation through collaboration. Further initiatives and joint projects will be announced in the coming months.
