Woolpert, through Bermello Ajamil, is expanding its Aviation Architecture team and is seeking an experienced Architectural Aviation Project ManagerĀ to lead complex airport and transportation projects across the U.S. This role is designed for professionals who operate at the intersection of architecture, aviation operations, and project leadership.
In this position, you will take ownership of multidisciplinary aviation projects from early planning through construction delivery, ensuring design quality, schedule alignment, risk management, and client satisfaction. Youāll act as the central point of coordination between architects, engineers, consultants, and clientsātranslating aviation requirements into buildable, high-performance airport environments.
The role goes beyond traditional project management. It requires a strong architectural foundation, deep familiarity with aviation facilities, and the ability to guide teams through technically complex, high-visibility airport projects. From terminal expansions and landside facilities to large-scale transportation infrastructure, this position plays a direct role in shaping how airports function and feel.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading cross-functional aviation architecture project teams
Overseeing quality, scope, budget, risk, and schedule performance
Managing client relationships and supporting business development
Coordinating complex, multidisciplinary airport projects
Ensuring alignment between design intent, technical execution, and operational needs
Ideal candidates bring:
10+ years of experience in aviation or large-scale commercial architecture
Proven leadership on airport or transportation projects
Strong project management and client-facing skills
Professional registration (NCARB preferred)
Willingness to travel for aviation projects
