Perkins&Will is currently seeking an experienced Project Architect – Aviation to join its Minneapolis studio. This role is well-suited for licensed architects with deep aviation expertise who are ready to lead technically complex projects and collaborate across disciplines in a design-driven environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the architectural design process across all project phases, from early studies through construction administration.

  • Coordinate production of drawings and specifications, ensuring alignment with design intent, firm standards, and contractual requirements.

  • Manage quality assurance and address quality control review comments at each project phase.

  • Lead coordination with internal teams and external consultants, including regulatory authorities.

  • Administer construction phase services such as RFIs, submittals, field observations, and project closeout.

  • Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and Living Design principles.

  • Participate in design reviews, charrettes, client presentations, and marketing pursuits.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related discipline.

  • Architectural license required.

  • 8–10+ years of professional experience with significant aviation project work.

  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning, accessibility, and construction methodologies.

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit; experience with Rhino/Grasshopper and visualization tools is a strong plus.

  • LEED GA required within six months of hire; advanced sustainability accreditations encouraged.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
