To strengthen the Airports & Aviation team in Berlin, Dornier is looking for an experienced Aviation Consultant / Airport Planner.
What You’ll Do
You will actively contribute to diverse airport and aviation projects, including:
Development and optimization of airport infrastructure and sustainable airport operations
Preparation of feasibility studies and airport master plans, covering airside infrastructure and terminal areas
Analysis of existing traffic and network structures to derive future capacity and demand
Market studies on new technologies and processes to support sustainable, future-ready airport operations
Contribution to innovative project areas such as autonomous mobility, Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), intermodal transport, Urban Air Mobility, and fleet electrification
Supporting airports in Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) projects and decarbonization roadmaps
Preparation of project reports and technical documentation
Supporting proposal preparation and follow-up
Communication with national and international clients
What You Bring
A completed university degree in Aerospace Engineering, Transport Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
3–5 years of practical experience in airport master planning, particularly traffic forecasts, capacity analyses, and infrastructure optimization
Confident handling of aviation regulations and standards such as ICAO, IATA, and EASA
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ideally, experience with CAD and GIS software
Consulting mindset and ability to work in national and international contexts
High level of initiative, reliability, flexibility, and analytical thinking
Interest in developing new project ideas and innovative topics
Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
