Airport Planning Manager – Port Authority of New York & New Jersey
The Port Authority of NY & NJ is hiring an Airport Planning Manager to join its Aviation Planning team. You’ll lead the delivery of planning products that shape the future of one of the busiest airport systems in the world, from capacity and demand analysis to conceptual studies and functional planning for near- and long-term projects.
This role covers critical capital and redevelopment projects, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and Port Authority policies, while coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and agencies. You’ll also oversee updates to Airport Layout Plans (ALPs) and Exhibit A property maps, and manage airside planning initiatives across the PA’s airports.
Ideal for professionals with a degree in architecture, engineering, or related fields, and at least 5 years’ experience in airside, airfield, or airport facility planning. Knowledge of FAA advisory circulars, airport design and planning standards, and experience managing RFPs and consultant teams is key. Experience with modeling tools (AutoCAD, AviPlan, Revit) is a strong plus.
