Our Aviation team is expanding in Houston and seeking a Project Architect to join us in delivering airport terminals, concourses, airline operations facilities, and corporate flight centers. This role offers the opportunity to shape projects that impact millions of passengers while working with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
What You’ll Do:
Lead project design development, production, and delivery for airport and airline-related facilities.
Prepare and coordinate high-quality construction documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integration across disciplines.
Manage client relationships, budgets, schedules, and contract administration while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and governing authorities to ensure code compliance and operational efficiency, including TSA, Customs, CBP, and other regulatory agencies.
Mentor and guide project teams, leveraging team strengths and fostering a collaborative, creative studio environment.
Provide onsite construction observation and support to ensure successful project implementation.
Present design concepts and technical solutions confidently to clients, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
Maintain awareness of industry standards, construction methods, new technologies, and sustainable design practices.
What You Bring:
Degree in architecture from an accredited program; active RA license preferred.
7+ years of professional experience, primarily in aviation or airline-related projects.
Proficiency in Revit and strong technical skills in drawing coordination, detailing, and constructability.
Experience designing airport terminals, concourses, passenger processing areas, and airline operational spaces.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex design concepts into visuals, graphics, and detailed construction documentation.
Flexible, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Willingness to travel as project requirements dictate.
