Siemens Logistics is seeking a Junior Mechanical System DesignerĀ to help develop and implement complex baggage handling systems. This role combines design innovation, technical problem-solving, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design and conceptual development within the Airport Logistics System Design Team.
Support bids and proposals through system design, cost estimates, and layout generation.
Coordinate with OEMs, subcontractors, and customers to ensure technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
Create CAD concepts (AutoCAD, Revit, AutoMod) and ensure designs meet construction, schedule, and budget goals.
Support customer presentations, prototype development, and compliance with specifications (PGDS).
Qualifications
BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or 6+ years of mechanical systems design experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, AutoMod, and Microsoft Project.
Experience with large-scale baggage handling systemsĀ preferred.
Up to 20% travel required.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
