About the Role:
Accura Engineering & Consulting Services is highlighting the role of an Aviation Architect, a key position in designing and modernizing airport terminals and aviation facilities. The role involves leading architectural design efforts, collaborating with engineers, planners, and construction teams, and delivering innovative, functional, and efficient airport environments.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage planning and architectural design from concept through construction
Develop design concepts aligned with client goals, budgets, and regulations
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants
Oversee design presentations, renderings, and construction documents
Ensure FAA, TSA, and ADA compliance
Participate in site assessments, construction administration, and quality reviews
Mentor junior architects and designers
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
10+ years of experience in aviation/airport terminal design
Registered Architect (RA) with knowledge of FAA Airport Circulars and design standards
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related software
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
Experience with terminal modernization, passenger flow, and airside/landside planning is a plus
LEED accreditation or sustainability design experience desirable
