About the Role:

they are seeking an experienced Aviation Architect to join our growing team in Nashville. This position focuses on leading architectural design for airport terminals and aviation facilities—both new builds and major renovations. The role requires deep expertise in terminal planning, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural planning and design for airport terminals and aviation facilities from concept through construction • Develop design concepts aligned with client objectives, budgets, and regulatory requirements • Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty engineering teams • Oversee creation of design presentations, renderings, and full construction documentation • Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, ADA, and airport design standards • Participate in site assessments, construction administration, and quality reviews • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and project partners to provide updates and technical guidance • Mentor and manage junior architects and designers

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture• 10+ years of professional architectural experience, with strong emphasis on aviation terminal design • Proven experience in terminal/concourse new construction and renovation • Registered Architect (RA) required• Strong knowledge of FAA Airport Circulars, funding guidelines, and aviation design processes• Familiarity with airside/landside planning, terminal flow, and modernization projects • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related design tools• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills • LEED accreditation or sustainability experience is a plus
